SAFETY INFORMATION & HIRE GUIDELINES – CC CASTLES LIVERPOOL
At CC Castles, safety comes first—every time. Our equipment is professionally installed, inspected and cleaned, and we brief you on safe use before we leave. Please read the guidelines below so your event runs smoothly and safely.
What We Do on Delivery
-
Site check & risk assessment of the area, access and power.
-
Professional setup & anchoring (ground stakes/weights and safety mats).
-
Electrical safety: RCD protection and cable management.
-
Clean & ready to use: disinfected before each hire.
-
Safety briefing for the responsible adult, plus clear user rules.
Your Responsibility as the Hirer
-
A responsible adult (18+) must supervise at all times.
-
Follow the user rules provided during the briefing.
-
Keep the entrance/exit clear and controlled to avoid overcrowding.
-
Stop use immediately if the inflatable begins to deflate or weather conditions change.
Site & Access Requirements
-
Flat, level surface: grass, hardstanding, or indoor hall.
-
Area must be clear of debris, pet waste, sharp objects and overhead hazards.
-
Allow space for blower, mats and anchoring behind/around the inflatable.
-
Check access route (gates, corridors, steps). Tell us about tight access in advance.
-
Indoor setups: confirm ceiling height and any low lights/fixtures.
Power Requirements
Some inflatables run multiple blowers. Please allow 2–3 separate mains sockets within safe cable distance. (25 meters)
-
Standard 240V household sockets only (no multi-way “daisy chains”) as this can damage electrical equipment.
-
Power should be RCD protected and kept indoors or weather-sheltered.
-
If you’re unsure about power or socket locations, contact us for advice.
Weather & Outdoor Use
-
We monitor conditions and will only operate when safe to do so.
-
In high winds, electrical storms or severe rain, we may delay, reposition or cancel for safety.
-
Consider booking an indoor hall as a wet-weather backup.
Safe Use Rules (Guests)
-
No shoes, jewellery, glasses, badges or sharp objects.
-
No food, drink, chewing gum, glitter cannons, confetti or silly string (these can damage the PVC).
-
No smoking, BBQs or open flames near the unit.
-
No flips, rough play or climbing on walls/roof/exterior.
-
Separate users by age/size where possible; keep numbers within the recommended capacity.
-
One at a time on slides; feet first, sitting position.
-
Keep power leads and blowers out of bounds to children.
Wind Speed Policy (Outdoor Setups)
-
Maximum operating wind speed: We do not operate above 24 mph (38 km/h), Beaufort Force 5. This is the UK industry limit set out in HSE guidance and BS EN 14960.
-
Manufacturer limits apply: Some inflatables (e.g., domes/fully-enclosed units) have lower limits. If the unit’s manual states a lower figure, we follow that lower limit.
-
Monitoring & actions: If wind conditions rise or gusts approach the limit, we will pause use, clear the unit, re-check anchoring, and deflate if needed until it’s safe to continue. Safety comes first per HSE guidance.
Why this matters: Force 5 (“fresh breeze”) is when small trees in leaf begin to sway — beyond this, inflatables can become unstable even when well-anchored.
Soft Play & Toddlers
-
Designed for under-5s unless stated otherwise.
-
Keep older children off soft play and ball pits.
-
Supervise closely and remove any damaged or soiled items immediately.
Overnight Hires (If Agreed in Advance)
-
Equipment must be in a secure, private garden, well lit and switched off when not supervised.
-
The hirer is responsible for overnight security and weather protection.
Insurance, Testing & Standards
-
Public liability insurance in place for our operations.
-
Electrical items are PAT tested and inflatables are regularly inspected.
-
We follow UK industry best practice and manufacturer guidance for safe operation.
Cleaning, Damage & Fees
-
Normal cleaning is included. Excessive soiling, silly string, paint, confetti or misuse may incur a cleaning/repair charge.
-
Report any issue immediately—do not continue using damaged equipment.
Cancellations for Safety
We reserve the right to decline or cancel a setup if the site, access or weather conditions are unsafe. Your safety is our priority; we’ll work with you on alternatives or new dates where possible.
